On March 29, 2023, a round table was held in Kharkiv, dedicated to the issues of perpetuating the memory of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the representation of this memory in the post-war tourism industry, and the formation of public practice of discussing the past.
The round table was organized by the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine and the Kharkiv City Council. In addition to Ukrainian experts, the Berlin Story Bunker (Germany) took part in the event. Within the framework of the round table, Olha Vovk presented some results of the project CITY AND WAR. She noted that, the local community aim to preserve 'places of memory' of the war in the urban space. Therefore, the discussion and drawing of strategies for their representation in the public space is particularly significant and relevant.
